University of Illinois administrative applications require a Unit Security Contact (USC) to be responsible for the authorizing, requesting, and maintenance of access. Engineering IT can fulfill this role of USC for units within the College of Engineering.

Version control is the management of text files (especially program code) in repositories, to track and maintain changes over the life of the document. It allows for coordination among multiple collaborators and easier identification of errors. Version control is commonly used in some research applications as well as taught to undergraduates in some departments.

Engineering IT designs and maintains the web presence of the College of Engineering and many of its individual departments and units. We are able to provide custom design services for faculty, research groups, and special projects. There are many Web hosting options available on a variety of platforms for courses, centers, research groups, and projects affiliated with the College.
