XSEDE publishes identity management use cases

Jan 13, 2017

XSEDE has documented the most common ways that researchers, scientists, and other community members register themselves with the XSEDE system, manage their profile information, and authenticate their identities when using XSEDE services. An important element is the ability to use non-XSEDE credentials (campus logins, for example) in place of XSEDE IDs/passwords. The document, XSEDE Identity Management Use Cases, is a formal description of XSEDE's user registration and authentication interfaces from the point of view of the researchers and scientists who use them. These descriptions are used to ensure that important elements of the user experience are preserved as the interfaces are maintained over time.
