information services

XSEDE Information Services contains metadata about XSEDE federated HPC, HTC, storage, visualization, and cloud resources; the software and services hosted on those resources; and XSEDE central services. The metadata includes static descriptive information and dynamic status information. A RESTful API enables software to access this information to present to users or to enable intra-software interactions.

A new xdinfo tool enables users and programs to query XSEDE information services from the command line and to access information about XSEDE integrated HPC, HTC, visualization, and storage resources; the login/SSH, GridFTP, and GRAM5 service available to access those resources; the software available on those resources; and resource outages.
