XCRI is testing an OpenHPC version of the XSEDE Compatible Basic Cluster (XCBC) stack. This allows for the installation of a new cluster based on OpenHPC packages, with some XSEDE-specific configuration and automation to help make managing the system easier. The toolkit basics and some documentation are available at https://github.com/XSEDE/CRI_XCBC and we are eager to get user responses on the OpenHPC build.
XCI has created images that allow its cluster toolkit to be used on the Jetstream research cloud system offered by XSEDE. These images create a persistent cluster in the Jetstream environment and provide software to test and implement clusters. Currently CRI is supporting the SEAGrid science gateway with a persistent Jetstream cluster.
