The third evaluation criteria is: "Does the proposed pilot adequately factor XSEDE's authorization assurance requirements?" I don't see anything in the design doc about XSEDE's authorization assurance requirements. In fact, I'm not aware of ANY written documentation of these requirements, and I consider this to be a significant issue for XSEDE. Evaluating activities like this one--and considering other possible activities--without that kind of context is quite challenging.
Delivery Effort Stage:
Agreed. In the absence of documented requirements, I just implemented the new REFEDS Assurance Framework based on current XSEDE capabilities for authentication and identity assurance to show our support for international interoperability.
