As XSEDE service providers deploy Globus Connect Server 5.4 (GCS 5.4) on their systems or upgrade older systems to GCS 5.4, XSEDE XCI needs to monitor these deployments and keep track of the new features available to the XSEDE user community as a result. This should drive XSEDE documentation updates and also updating our KPI for "use cases available in production," because some of these features enable new use cases. Specific features to keep track of include:
- Web browser upload & download (available in GCS 5.4 by default)
- Guest collections, aka "sharing" (SP-configured option in GCS 5.4)
- Science gateway support (SP-configured option in GCS 5.4)
