In the 09-10-2018 SP administrators call discussing about what SPs should advertise about their resources using RDR and IPF Scott from SDSC suggested that XSEDE provide a command line tool to lookup job status in information services. This would encourage SPs to publish job status using IPF and provide a much more scalable way for users and gateways to lookup job status. Some SPs might even disable direct job status lookup to their schedulers.
