Service Provider IaaS (Cloud) Services yes Some of the Service Providers (SPs) who offer Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS aka cloud) resources offer a feature for "imaging" a Virtual Machine (VM) so that it can be added to the resource's catalog of available VM images. Once in the catalog, other users with allocations on the resource may launch new VMs using the image, effectively obtaining a VM with the same software configuration as the original.
