Globus Connect Personal yes Researchers, educators, and others who have data on a desktop or laptop computer can install the Globus Connect Personal software to create a data transfer endpoint that can be used with Globus Transfer, XSEDE's managed data transfer service.
Globus Connect Server no Campus IT adminstrators can install the Globus Connect Server (GCS) software on campus storage systems (shared storage) to create a data transfer endpoint that can be used with Globus Transfer, XSEDE's managed data transfer service.
Globus Transfer yes The Globus Transfer service provides a managed data transfer service that enables researchers, educators, and others to request transfers between XSEDE resources and campus systems that have Globus Connect Server (GCS) or Globus Connect Personal (GCP) installed on them.
